The first day of Spring is right around the corner. Next to Fall (Hello, football!), Spring is one of our favorite seasons! There’s something about the perfect mixture of anticipated warmness, with a touch of light airiness still lingering from the calm, cool winter.  Time to break out those fragrances for Spring!

Close your eyes and envision your connection to Spring: do
you have keen recollection of the floral compositions springing up everywhere –
or – perhaps of the ocean-filled breeze from your vacations to the Caribbean?

Whatever it is, it’s hard to also not include that some of the leading memories of Spring lead us back to some of our favorite fragrances. Check out our top 5 men’s fragrances for the Spring season.

1. Creed Green Irish Tweed

Creed Green Irish Tweed reminds us of street-filled parades, and weekend bar crawls in 75-degree sunny weather – toasting up Jameson shots with friends.  The cologne packs a strong punch, but has this cool, fresh finish to lighten the blow. It gives off a “mature” scent profile but with some modern edge.

The top notes are lemon and verbena – at the heart – iris and violet leaves.  Not that we can smell colors, but the notes deliver a “green” scent, reminiscent of nature.  And though the base notes are sandalwood and ambergris, the dry down of Green Irish Tweed is very mossy and forest-y.

Check out, Creed Green Irish Tweed for sale.

2.Yves Saint Laurent Y

Yves Saint Laurent (YSL)’s Y Eau de Toilette fragrance is the new kid on the block. The cologne’s name symbolizes a generation of youth – literally!  In comparison to Green Irish Tweed, Y EDT cologne is not strong and commanding, but has structure and fluidity. Think: white T-shirt, black leather jacket, and distressed denim jeans type of guy.

Notes of bergamot and sage offer sharp freshness anchored by cedarwood, perfecting a men’s fragrance for the bold, ambitious achiever.

Check out, Yves Saint Laurent’s Y Eau De Toilette reviews.

3.Chanel Allure Homme Sport

This cologne is one of the most popular Spring fragrances. Chanel Allure Homme Sport dons a reputation for fresh aquatic notes, mixed with florals and spices – perfect for the outdoorsy, athletic type of guy.

The top notes of this fragrance are aldehydes, mandarin, orange, and aquatic notes. The middle notes are neroli, pepper, and cedar; finally, the base notes: white musk, tonka beans, amber, and vetiver.

Check out, other Chanel Allure fragrances on sale.

4. Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille

Tobacco Vanille is a part of Tom Ford’s Private Blend Collection. The fragrances in this makeup are unisex, and can be worn anyone, anywhere. The initial reaction to the mixture of tobacco and vanilla, gives us warm, fiery scents – not indicative of the typical Spring day.  However, you can pull Tobacco Vanille out of your collection on a cooler, Spring night – when you want to make a lasting impression in smaller, intimate settings.

Notes to mention (other than the obvious tobacco and vanilla strains): spices, tonka beans, cocoa, dry accords, and various woods.

Check out, Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille on sale.

5. Jo Malone Grapefruit Cologne

What’s spring without being graced with something refreshing? Fruity? Fresh? Both? With top notes of grapefruit and tangerine – middle notes of rosemary, mint, paprika, and jasmine – and the base notes of vetiver, patchouli, and oakmoss, expect to feel (and smell) like raindrops n’ gumdrops with Jo Malone’s Grapefruit Cologne!

Though unisex, there’s nothing overly feminine about all the notes comprised in this fragrance. In fact, the lightness works well with the man’s natural musk, on a warmer Spring day.

Check out, Jo Malone’s Unisex fragrances.

My Burberry Blush eau de parfum fragrance online

First impression:

We sampled My Burberry Blush throughout a regular workday – to not only see how the notes carry through long hours, but also how the notes develop over time.

Soft, floral fragrance

With two, light mists to each wrist (anything more would be too overpowering for this fragrance), My Burberry Blush opens with an immediate citrus floral. There’s a swift note of lemon, green apple and traces of rose. The fragrance is nothing special but really well-mixed together. A few minutes in the “dry down,” the scent gets softer, picking up the fruity pomegranate and geranium notes.

By lunchtime (about 3-4 hours since spraying), My Burberry Blush reminds us of a really expensive “fabric softener.” Think: soft, powdery-clean aroma with whiffs of an elected fragrance.

Those notes picked up a tart floral – with more of the jasmine coming through to steal the show. The soft powdery scent: Geranium. It’s not as warm as gourmand, but slightly “green” & peppery.  We’re thinking this is what ties the lemon and rose subtly into this fragrance composition.

Blush attire work wear
Blush: Perfect work accessory

Overall impression:

We recommend this for spring and summer wear! My Burberry Blush is a subtle, straight-to-the-point perfume. It’s plain but packs a sweet punch at various moments during the wear that surprise your nose. Unlike of other perfume/cologne from the Burberry fragrance collection, My Burberry Blush is not a 10-hour wear. The sillage on this is not very strong, so consider this your non-tedious, everyday work perfume, than your signature day-to-night scent. You’d do well with bringing a small bottle with you to re-up every couple of hours – as – while the scent brings complements, over time, you don’t really smell it unless someone is in your immediate radius.

There’s no doubt about it – having a love for fragrance is not a cheap habit. Whether you’re a collector or not, scents will always be a part of one’s style wardrobe. Depending on how often you switch up your perfume or cologne, you’re probably going through a bottle regularly (can you hear the dollar signs racking up in your head yet?)!

Imitation scents, or fragrance dupes, have been on the rise (just think about the Replica brand fragrances!). Even the most savvy have gotten thrifty with using off-brand perfumes/colognes as an alternative to their most prized fragrances.

Be you a have or have not, these 4 scents have been tested to be great stand-ins for the classic opulence that is high-end fragrance.

Avon Eve Truth | Smells Like: Marc Jacobs Daisy (retail: $106)

For around $15, lovers of Daisy fragrances can enjoy the uncannily identical scent of Avon Eve Truth. The newest fragrance from Avon share many notes in common by Marc Jacobs’ signature perfume. Both fragrances open with refreshing notes of fruity floral scents – Eve Truth with starfruit and pomegranate  and Daisy with wild strawberry and violet. Under the layers, they each have mid notes of Gardenia and dry base notes of musk and cedarwood. Fun fact: it is said that similarities of both perfumes can be credited to Eve Truth’s creator Laurent Le Guernec, who used to work for Marc Jacobs!

Superdrugs Layering Lab Exotic | Smells Like: YSL Black Opium ($78)

If you haven’t heard of the UK beauty & drugstore retailer, you’re missing out! Superdrug has its own range of labeled products, which sit alongside other great, budget brands. For the “conscious” wearer, their products are also cruelty-free and mostly vegan.  The Layering Lab line, as the name suggests, excites buyers to purchase one or more of their insanely affordable (less than $5!) body mists and experiment with creating their own scents. As a standalone, most aficionados are wild about the Layering Lab Exotic fragrance which has been debated (and won) to smell very  close – if not exact – to YSL’s Black Opium. Because these sprays are not as concentrated, don’t ‘expect them to last as long. They are best kept in your purse, and sprayed throughout the day – at work or on a casual outing. Relax, you can afford it!

Layering Lab Superdrugs fragrance

Lidl Suddenly Madame Glamour |Smells Like: Chanel Coco Mademoiselle ($135)

Chanel Coco is by far one of the most notable and iconic fragrances – by scent and presentation! It is no doubt that if you’re going to claim resemblance, the lesser fragrance must show up and perform! Lidl’s Suddenly Madame Glamour (retail $14 on Amazon) has made a believer out of the Chanel mob. How does one come close to imitating the most expensive, natural rose essence that is created for the Chanel fragrance? While it is important to not that Suddenly Madame is much lighter in note and potency – which means it will wear off quickly – the fragrance features prominent oils from the jasmine flower, rose, ylang-ylang and vetiver. Sound familiar?

Lidl Suddenly Madame Glamour spray

Zara Rose | Smells Like: Dior J’Adore ($75)

Dior is another loyal brand that has a cult following. J’Adore specifically is one of those perfumes that a little goes a long way – considering the price for the bottle. Zara’s fragrances, on its own, have really great smells for everyday wear. In fact, most people vote it one of the better in-store brands out there. Add on the fact that Zara Rose produces the same scent as the bottle of J’Adore, and you’ve got a sure-fire secret to smelling good and saving money!

There’s nothing like falling in love with a good, quality fragrance that’s indulgent and splurge-worthy. If you’re planning on making the room swoon when you enter, then these fragrances have scent appeal! We’ve already brought the heat with our top men’s cologne; now ladies – it’s your turn!

1.Miu Miu, Fleur D’Argent
EDP ($99) 50ML

Fleur D’Argent is a sweet deviation from Miuccia Prada’s typical fragrance composition. The newest addition to the family adds a more opulent note. The intense addition of white tuberose flower is the “tailored tuxedo jacket” over your little black dress.  You’ll fall in love with the balance of musk heart notes, and Akigalawood base notes.  Fleur D’Argent is available in select stores or from the Miu Miu retail site. Add the brand’s original scents to your collection – browse Miu Miu on Aroma Life.

 Miu Miu Fleaur D'Argent

2. Caroline Hererra Good Girl Velvet Fatale EDP ($122)
80ML

Good Girl Velvet is the collector’s edition for all collectors! CH fragrances traditionally give us “Girl Next Door” vibes – soft notes with floral influences (like the Jasmine Sambac Imperial from the original GOOD GIRL EDP Legere) – but Velvet Fatale gives us deep seductive, sensual provocativeness. The special release has notes of tuberose and jasmine, that twist obsessively with dark, gourmand accords of Tonka Bean and Cacao.  The five senses come alive with sleek looks, red velvelty textures, and a smell that any nose will fall in love with.

Girl Next Door - Caroline Herrera

3. Diana Vreeland, Empress of Fashion, EDP ($250) 100ML

Empress of Fashion is quite the homage to beauty icon Diana Vreeland of the legendary American Vogue. It embodies the essence of the woman who defies all odds – and smells as good as she looks. Empress of Fashion arrives on the scene with a sweet and powerful impression of blackcurrant bud absolute. Rosy and modern pink pepper emerges with bittersweet and soft Saffron setting the mood for an intimate and aromatic profile.

Diane Vreeland Fragrances

4. Tiffany & Co. EDP Intense ($113) 1.7 oz

It’s hard to not fall in love with Tiffany. The classic blue-box brand is timeless – and this fragrance is no different. Intense EDP is a modern staple for those who want an everyday signature scent. Like the soft, powdery blue hues, this women’s fragrance has noble iris at the heart, topped with vert de mandarine, bottomed by patchouli and musk. Shop the Tiffany & Co. Intense EDP at Aroma Life (on sale for $100).

5. Creed, Floralie EDP ($415) 2.5 oz

The most expensive on the list, Floralie touts the creed brand and sophistication that makes the fragrance worth the splurge! Floralie is ethereal and radiant – having undergone Creed’s specific infusion process. Like other fresh/floral fragrances, Floralie has fresh bouquet smells at the top and heart notes – think Marigold, Lilac, and classic Tuberose & Bulgarian Rose. Bottom notes include cedarwood, musk, and amber. Try a sample or search Creed floral fragrances on Aroma Life.

Giorgio Armani’s Acqua di Gio brand is no stranger to sophisticated fragrance wearers and collectors. Inspired by vacations on the Pantelleria island, each release of the Acqua fragrance has intangible essences from the freshness and warmth of the Mediterranean Sea.

By far the best-selling collection from Armani, it’s hard to decide an absolute favorite. So what’s the difference between the original Acqua di Gio, Acqua Di Gio Profumo, and the Acqua di Gio Absolu?  If you’re new to the collection, we’re here to provide all you need to know about the three top Armani fragrances.  Read on as we compare and review:

Armani Acqua di Gio

Originally released in 1996, Acqua di Gio is the staple fragrance to collection. Compositions of the cologne are built heavily on sweet and salty notes of the sea water and the warmth from the Sun. Acqua di Gio is full of bitter citrus (green tangerine, persimmon), nuances of rosemary, mignonette, and has long-lasting base notes of wood and musk.

Our review: Armani’s Acqua di Gio is by far for mature audiences.  While the scent-maker describes the cologne as fresh and relaxed, it is powerful– meaning that a little goes along way! Being that it’s the predecessor of the other fragrances, compared to the others, it may be the most subtle of the pack.

Acqua di Gio by Giorgio Armani (3.3 oz), $77

Acqua di Gio Profumo

Birthed from the original DNA, Profumo is a more intense (and adventurous) evolution of Acqua di Gio. The cologne is more dense with intense notes of earthy and minty patchouli. From volcanic rock and deep ocean waters, Acqua di Gio Profumo radiates with fresh bergamot and marine accords that are paired with the deep, captivating radiance of incense.

Our review:  The cologne is woody, zesty, and fresh with “sweetness’ that separates it from the original. Though not as fresh as Versace’s Dylan Blue, the updated Profumo opens up to be mature — but not old or outdated. Fair warning: this cologne is very dense. Since it’s made with incense, too much fragrance can be annoying – especially in the heat, which tends to warm up fragrances. Two sprays will go a long way…

Acqua di Gio Profumo (1.4 oz), $77

Acqua di Gio Absolu

The newest release is yet another creation from Alberto Morillas. This time around, the Absolu variation is built on the harmony of marine notes and woodsy interpretations. The juxtaposition provides strong heart and base notes that are reminiscent of the fresh, crisp, wintry mix of the Alpines. Acqua di Gio Absolu is sharp but not deep or dense, like Profumo.

Our review: Absolu has been reviewed by others as reminiscent of the “businessman- who-works-in-finance” vibes. The fragrance is well established for those who know who to handle fragrance (it’s not quite the new kid of the block). For occasion, Absolu is perfect for an exclusive night out on the town, not for an everyday wear. For wear, this fragrance can qualify as a revolving seasonal cologne, however, we think it would fare well during warmer seasons.

2019 is on its way to being wrapped up! As a new year (and decade!) approaches, fragrance lovers are making room for new resolutions, new looks, and of course – new fragrance!  Before looking forward, take a look at some of the top fragrances that were just released this Fall season.

Fragrances For Him

Bottega Veneta Illusione for Him, $118, Macys.com

Bottle of Bottega Veneta Illusione
Illusione for Him, BOTTEGA VENETA

Launched in Summer’s closing months of 2019, Illusione blurs the lines between reality and dream, as well as, wellness and luxury. Available in his and hers, the Bottega Veneta fragrance duo capture “sensual Italian allure from two perspectives.” The men’s fragrance offers a “resinous masculinity” that plays with aromatic notes of woody– and citrus-ness. Every note listed is promised in its scent: from Italian lemons and bitter orange to fir resin and white cedar.

K by DOLCE & GABBANA, $94, sephora.com.

Bottle of K, Dolce and Gabbana cologne
K, DOLCE & GABBANA

An abbreviation for ‘king,’ this new release (September 2019) from Dolce and Gabbana is step away from the brand’s typical grandiose scents. Instead, the fragrance inspires men to be everyday “kings” of their own domain – and what better way than with a signature scent?

Though the bottle resembles that of The One by Dolce & Gabbana, ‘K’ is a very contrasting fragrance. The top has citrus freshness to create a light aroma, then goes deeper with combinations of very specific varieties of patchouli and spice, which makes it hot and sexy (versus leathery and oriental like other D&G fragrances)!

Molton Brown Flora Luminare, $160, moltonbrown.com.

Molton Brown fragrance Flora Luminare
Flora Luminare, MOLTON BROWN

At a glance, this fragrance is one the softer side of fragrance – making it most provocative! Filled with notes such as orange blossom, mandarin, jasmine absolute,  vanilla and musk, Flora Luminare can go either way on the for him or for her spectrum.  Sensuous and intoxicating, Flora Luminare is the latest of over 20 collections from the London luxury fragrance.

Acqua di Parma Signatures of the Sun, $270 each, saksfifthavenue.com.

Acqua Di Parma Fragrance Collection
Signature of the Seas, ACQUA DI PARMA

These signature releases, bring together ingredients from all over the world. The 10-fragrance collection is curated and distilled by exclusive fragrance houses. Of the 10, five are all for the new release and include: Camelia, Osmanthus, Sakura, Vaniglia and Yuzu.

If you’re a collector, then you’ll have earned your badge of honor once you have these bottles in your fragrance wardrobe.

Perry Ellis AMERICA,$75, perryellis.com.

Perry Ellis America Fragrance
America, PERRY ELLIS

Our current culture craves nostalgia – from Throwback Thursdays to Flashback Fridays. These blasts from the past aren’t just for post on the ‘gram  – or cool themed parties! Don’t be surprised when you see legendary brands join in on the moment and bring us back the scents that created old memories.  America by Perry Ellis is a staple fragrance in the 90s capsule collection that has been launched by the brand. Aside from minor optimization, nothing about the fragrance has changed much. The unisex scent blends modern notes with 90s vibes, with bergamot, pineapple, white pepper, lavender, rose, myrrh, patchouli, birch and amber.

Fragrances For Her

Twilly d’Hermes Eau Poivree, $133, hermes.com

Hermes perfume bottle
Twilly d’Hermes, HERMES

“Hermes girls swim against the tide… and set their own tempo…” The release of Twilly d’Hermes perfume  unleashes the spirit of this girl that’s drummed up by the major brand house – and provides the backdrop for this preppy and youthful fragrance. The smells and packaging offer vibrance that garners the attention of others, while enchanting them to stay. Ingredients include pink peppercorn, rose, and patchouli.

Chloe L’Eau, $119, sephora.com

L'eau new fragrance by Chloe brands
Chloe L’Eau, CHLOE

A rose perfume you’ll actually want to wear this Fall…

Paired with  a
multi-faceted magnolia this new Chloe perfume is long-lasting and adds a new
variety to the icon fragrance line. If you’re not familiar with Chloe’s other
scents, not to fret, this scent is good for introduction. Though it’s billed as
a “floral” – the lasting notes offer up a fresh note throughout.

KILLIAN Rolling in Love Eau de Parfum, $240, bykilian.com

Rolling in Love Perfume by Killian
Rolling in Love, by KILLIAN

Have you ever been so high on love that it got under your skin? If not, prepare for the multi-dimensional emotional journey – that is Killian’s Rolling in Love! No one feeling should be evoked in the representation of love. The same holds true for the notes and aromas that envelop you with Killian’s new fragrance. Rolling in Love is a “white” scent, layering different textures along the scent’s trail with notes of ambrette seeds, almond milk, iris, and musk.

NARS Audacious, $180, nars.com

NARS Cosmetics fragrance
Audacious, NARS

The beauty brand has created and sold almost every beauty product known to (wo)man – except one thing: fragrance! After 25 years, with the help of French perfumer, Olivia Giacobetti, the NARS elite have a signature scent to accompany their cult line of products. NARS Audacious plays on the term “audacity”: which boldly places contrasts in your face. The fragrance embodies sensuality, while creating individuality from your typical femme fragrance.

Its top notes are white frangipani and incense smoke; the
middle notes bring together tiare flower, ylang ylang essential oil, and
sandalwood; and the base notes combine white cedar essential oil and white
musk.

Tory Burch Knock On Wood, $138, bloomingdales.com.

Tory Burch lastest fragrance release.
Knock on Wood, TORY BURCH

Another fragrance brand that uses nostalgia as a key component to its success. If you’re fairly familiar with superstition, then you’re aware that “knocking on wood” dispels bad luck for good fortune. Similarly, Tory Burch’s newest perfume (launched in September 2019) is a woody floral that evokes strength, confidence, and of course, a little luck.

Knock on Wood is an unexpected mix of note contrasts, with Turkish rose and sandalwood, cardamom and vetiver.

There’s no mistaking the popularity of big-brand fragrances.
Call them common, ubiquitous, you name it! Popular fragrances have become a
go-to for most — perfume snobs have thought them too mainstream for their
liking. Nevertheless, no one can deny a quality bottle of cologne.  Men (and even women) have found pleasure in
the intoxicating aromas of Dolce & Gabbana, Issey Miyaki, Gucci
and the likes.

We draw near to the end of the year, here’s our top 5 most-sought after men’s fragrances:

1.L’Homme Prada EDT

Not everyone will “get” the powerful powdery notes of
this Prada fragrance. But that’s what makes the underlying beauty and attraction
of the cologne so sought after. Iris scents are not typically common and frequent,
so when a name like Prada enters the fragrance marketplace, take heed!

If you can find one (hint hint:  Buy L’Homme Prada 3.4 oz from The Aroma Life, $93), grab it while you can!

photo of L'homme prada fragrance on The Aroma Life website

2. Gucci Intense OUD EDP

Anyone who grew akin to the likes of Issey Miyake and Versace Eros, then you know why Gucci Intense OUD EDP is sought after. Birthed from the same creator (Aurelien Guichard) Gucci Intense is trendy, and a sure complement-bait for men.

The oriental fragrance has tons going on essence-wise – and intense it is! On first spray, there’s notes of pear, raspberry, and saffron. Underneath the Gucci Intense Oud cologne are heart notes of Bulgarian rose, as well as base notes of oud oil and patchouli!

Gucci Intense OUD cologne

3. Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Eau Intense

When D&G Light Blue Pour Homme was launched in 2007, it became a big seller for the Italian luxury label. Made by the same creator of Bulgari Man, cK One EDT, and Gucci Guilty Absolute EDP, Light Blue Eau Intense EDT became another best seller exactly 10 years later.

It’s not a radically different fragrance from its predecessor, but the notes of frozen grapefruit and seawater add a sharper, more distinct vibe, that’s irresistible!

photo of Dolce & Gabbana fragrance

4. Azzaro Wanted by Night EDP

Azzaro Wanted had its popularity (and was a pretty substandard cologne). Azzaro Wanted by Night made fragrance fanatics take a second look!

In 2018, the birth of the parfum gave us metro-masculine vibes. The hard-soft mix of cinnamon, wood, and spice offers the right amount of intensity with just enough sweetness. It’s the 50 Shades of Grey for cologne.

photo of Azzaro Wanted by Night cologne.

5. Carolina Herrera CH Men Prive

The essence of a CH fragrance is built upon a couture spirit
and worldly traditions – where layering fragrances established confidence and
status. The brand has a solid list of wildly-successful fragrance launches, but
no one can turn their noses on a staple: CH Men Prive.

Strong whisky notes open the senses that then smooth into warm
effects of cardamom and leather.  Well-blended
and seductive indeed.

What makes this fragrance even more sought-after, is availability. At, current all sizes of CH Men Prive is not in stock from the Carolina Herrera website. You can still buy Carolina Herrera fragrance directly from The Aroma Life retail store.

Ever wondered where you could get your back-in-the-day, old faithful fragrance? You know, the nostalgic notes that you still guiltily crave – but not certain where and how to find them.

The “discontinued” fragrance: over-expired by popular opinion; but to a true aficionado, is worth that second chance. We’ve scoured the boards of our fellow, fragrance experts, and found the best avenues to find some sentimental scents.

Hard to Find Fragrances

Online Auction Sites

Platforms like eBay, Etsy, and Bonanza is good starting point to uncover some of your favorites. Be careful to ensure that online fragrance listings are not counterfeit or “turned.”

Online Wholesale Perfumers

Comb through the trusted online wholesale perfume sites. If you know specifically what you’re looking for, you can find not only discontinued, but vintage fragrances at places like Fragrance Net and Overstock. Like EBay and such, ask thorough questions about the items; sometimes you can even request a photo of the actual product before purchasing.

Company Re-Issues

Consider yourself lucky, if you hit the jackpot, and find a re-issue a discontinued fragrance from the original company. This is probably the closest you will get to receiving new, un-turned scents. Err on the side of caution, as most times, due to certain limitations, a scent cannot be replicated exactly.

Virtual “Yard Sales”

No stone goes un-turned when you’re in search of a gem. Find forum and message boards, or private Facebook groups, to specifically request items you may “In Search Of.”  Otherwise known as ISO groups, you search can quickly spread through networks of experts and sellers alike – with just one click!

If you thought you were splurging when you purchased that bottle of Tom Ford Oud Wood or Clive Christian for Women, then you’ve thought incorrectly…

NO. 1 IMPERIAL MAJESTY

We all know that big scents call for big bucks, especially if it’s backed behind a famous brand house, dons the most proliferated perfume bottle, and smells exotic; however, it’s hard to imagine how an ounce  of evaporated ingredients – mixed with alcohol – could cost more than our entire retirement fund. Not to mention, the fact that there are people out their willing to buy them!

Hold on to your high-end hats, because the below 5 scents have been crowned as The Most Expensive Fragrances in the World (period!):

#5 Joy by Jean Patou

1000 Jasmine Flowers. 28 dozen roses. That’s how much goes into making just a single ounce of this perfume. Created in the early 1920’s by French courtier, Jean Patou, the fragrance won the 2000 FiFi award for “Scent of The Century” (hopefully it lasts that long, at retail price per ounce!).

Cost: $800 an ounce | Find Joy fragrance at Neiman Marcus

#4 Hermes 24. Faubourg

How do you create an unforgettable fragrance? Mix some of the most unique blends of orange blossom, iris, patchouli, ylang-ylang, vanilla, and sandalwood – with a limited production of only 1000 bottles – and you’ve got one of the rarest fragrances on the market.

Cost: $1,500 an ounce | Find Hermes fragrance online

#3 Chanel Grand Extrait

The most iconic flavor of the House of Coco Chanel. With a few variations of No. 5 fragrances, the most expensive of is presented with the Grand Extraits. What sets the $80 apart from these limited editions (ranging up to $30,000)?!  Long story, short: presentation. The Grand Extrait bottle is presented in a “limited edition, grand flacon,” and “faceted in a majestic glass bottle, sealed by art of baudruchage.

Reading the product description of the “abstract blend” also lends its hand to the price… *meh*

#2 Clive Christian No. 1 Imperial Majesty

Get a Harvard MBA, or buy this extremely rare bottle of perfume? Decisions…

With only 10 bottles produced, the Imperial Majesty bottle holds a Guinness Book of World Records title for Most Expensive Perfume – considering it costs a whopping $215,000! We’re pretty sure just a whiff of this scent, costs more than we can afford!

From what we hear, the flask of French Baccarat crystal, contains a royal nectar of citrus-y notes: lime, Sicilia’s mandarin and pink grapefruit. It’s passionate, yet subtle (even though for a quarter of a million, I’d be less than modest!).

#1 DKNY Golden Delicious Million Dollar Fragrance Bottle

Donna Karan took a mainstay fragrance, and put a price tag that the likes of Beyonce and friends would consider disposable income.

The “one-of-a-kind” fragrance is exquisite purely because of packaging; masterfully hand-crafted with: 183 yellow sapphires, 2700 white diamonds, the 1.6-carat turquoise, Brazilian Paraiba tourmaline, and a 7.18-carat oval Cabochon sapphire all the way from Sri Lanka. The bottle is nothing less than an art exhibit – but for a good cause – so it gets a pass from us!

Cost: $1M | Purchase your non-studded bottle of DKNY Golden Delicious in our Aroma Life shop.
